This spider skimmer is such a useful tool. Of course you can use it for deep-frying, but we think you’ll use it more often for pulling vegetables, ravioli and dumplings out of boiling pots of water. The bamboo handle stays cool while the web-like basket quickly drains water away. While we’re a little wary of the manufacturer’s statement that the bamboo is dishwasher safe, we still think this is a kitchen essential (even if you have to wash it by hand!).
